Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, proceed through immigration, collect your luggage, and head directly to the Exit Gate where our representative will be waiting to greet you. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your luxury hotel in the city for check-in (note that check-in time is 2 pm). Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. The suggested time to begin the tour is 8:00 am. Your guide and driver will pick you up and drive along the riverfront, offering a fantastic morning view of Phnom Penh. The first stop is at the Independence Monument, where you’ll have the opportunity to capture some beautiful photos. From there, continue to the tragic site of Choeung Ek, also known as the Killing Fields, where over 20,000 civilians were executed.
This site is closely connected with Tuol Sleng Museum, a former school that was transformed into the notorious S21 Torture Prison. Next, stroll through the vibrant Russian Market.
In the afternoon, at 2:00 pm, visit The Royal Palace—a complex of buildings that served as the royal residence for the King of Cambodia. Admire the impressive Silver Pagoda, which features over 5,000 solid silver tiles, along with other royal stupas, shrines, and monuments. Continue with a guided tour of the National Museum, home to the world’s most important collection of Cambodian antique sculptures and carvings. Finally, visit Wat Phnom, an interesting legendary site marking the founding place of Phnom Penh’s capital. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

After breakfast, depart the hotel by vehicle and take a ferry to Koh Dach, also known as Silk Island. Upon disembarking, you will cycle around the island, taking in the charming villages and observing the fascinating daily life of the locals. As you bike from one spot to another, you’ll also see animals, vegetable gardens, and enjoy scenic views of the Mekong River.
Continue to the silk-weaving village, where you can learn about the process of silk production, including feeding silkworms. Silk Island is renowned for its fine silk production and is a great place to purchase silk items, scarves, sarongs, and handicrafts. This visit offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the history of silk weaving in Cambodia. After returning by ferry to Phnom Penh, visit Wat Ounalom, a significant Buddhist pagoda originally built in the 15th century. Although it was almost destroyed by the Khmer Rouge when they took the city in 1975, it has since been rebuilt. This site is considered the most important Buddhist monument in Phnom Penh. After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a 5 ½ hour drive (without a guide) to Siem Reap City. Along the way, you’ll have the unique opportunity to sample deep-fried insects such as tarantulas and crickets at Skun village before arriving at your hotel in Siem Reap City in the afternoon. After breakfast, depart the hotel at 8:00 am to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, marked by four giant faces symbolizing compassion, sympathy, equanimity, and charity. Explore the Bayon Temple, renowned for its more than 200 smiling stone faces, along with other fascinating temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of the Elephants. Continue the journey to Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its stunning tree roots and as the filming location for Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992 and the largest religious monument in the world. Built by Suryavarman II in the 12th century, Angkor Wat is one of Asia’s top destinations and a must-see in your lifetime. Learn from your tour guide about its incredible history, architectural masterpieces, and the finest carvings dating back to the Khmer Empire, which once dominated large parts of Southeast Asia.
A visit to Phnom Bakheng for a beautiful sunset is available; please speak to your tour guide to arrange this. Note that it involves a 25-minute hike each way, and it is often crowded with tourists. You may choose to skip it if you feel tired. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Our experienced tour guide and driver will greet you at 7:45 am in your hotel’s lobby. You’ll then drive past ruined Angkorian temples, rice paddies, and the countryside toward the wildlife sanctuary known as the Angkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity. Here, a wildlife expert will provide an orientation on the protected wildlife and birds and explain how they rescue endangered species.
Next, embark on a challenging 45-minute hike up Kbal Spean hill, following a rooting and rocky path to view a series of sandstone formations carved under the river during the Angkor period. Explore the riverbed, adorned with 1,000 linga carvings, and admire the small river and seasonal waterfall. Your tour guide will share insights about Angkorian history, and if you visit at the end of the rainy season, you may even bathe under the falls.
In the afternoon, continue your journey to the intricately carved, beautiful red-pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei, often referred to as the “Jewel of Khmer Art” due to its elaborate decorations and exquisite details. This temple is highly praised as a “precious gem” and is extremely popular with tourists. On the way back, you’ll make a short visit to a palm sugar village and explore various local handicrafts. Enjoy the rest of your free time in Siem Reap before our team picks you up from the hotel lobby and transfers you (without a guide) to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport for your departure flight.
